Sleepy Eye, MN, USA | Salary | Administration-NPC | Full Time Position Overview & Responsibilities The Information Services Manager with responsibility for Application Management and Analytics will oversee the effective management of enterprise applications, data analytics, and business intelligence tools. This role involves ensuring the seamless operation, integration, and optimization of software applications while leveraging data insights to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT management, application lifecycle management, and data analytics. The position is also responsible for executing projects and technology deployments within the company as either part of a project team or as a project leader. This position will collaborate in the evaluation and deployment of long-term information strategies that continually improve our overall maturity. This role provides mentoring and supervision of technical staff and managed service providers. Major Areas of Accountability Application Management:
Oversee the lifecycle management of enterprise applications, including deployment, maintenance, upgrades, and decommissioning.
Ensure applications are aligned with business needs and are effectively integrated with existing systems.
Implement best practices for application security, reliability, and performance.
Monitor and optimize application performance, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient resource utilization.
Data Analytics and Business Intelligence:
Lead the development and implementation of analytics and business intelligence strategies.
Oversee the design, development, and deployment of data models, reports, dashboards, and other analytics tools.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify key metrics, KPIs, and reporting requirements.
Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across all analytics platforms.
Use data-driven insights to support business strategies and decision-making processes.
Leadership:
Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.
Set clear performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and provide constructive feedback.
Work closely with business units to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.
Act as a liaison between IT and other departments, ensuring alignment and effective communication.
Manage relationships with IT vendors to ensure the most value possible is obtained in projects, purchases, and managed service agreements.
Research tools, disciplines and industry trends and recommend improvements for team or company consideration.
Other duties assigned within the scope, responsibility, and requirements of the job.
Education, Training and Experience Requirements:
Minimum formal education required: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management, application management, or analytics.
Strong knowledge of data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL) and enterprise software systems (e.g., ERP, CRM).
Excellent project management skills with experience in Agile or similar methodologies.
Clear, concise, and precise written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with people of various backgrounds including non-technical audiences.
Strong solution-oriented approach to team problem solving.
Ability to multi-task and to prioritize objectives, anticipate situations and take quick action.
Computer skills required: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Visio
Strict adherence to company confidentiality and ethical standards.
Additional Desirable Skills/Qualifications
Cloud technologies (Public, Private, Dedicated, Hybrid).
Knowledge of data governance and data management best practices.
Certification in ITIL, PMP, or relevant analytics tools.
Continuous Improvement tools experience
Employee computing devices including Windows, Android, and iOS.
Experience working in an agricultural business, particularly the swine industry.
