Summary: Commerce is a focus area for Meta, and Marketplace already has over 1 billion monthly active users. The mission of the Commerce Trust and Safety team is to protect users and our platform from harm, such as scams and prohibited items that are caused by bad actors who violate our standards and policies, thereby enabling people to safely and confidently buy and sell the things they love.The Investigations Analytics team specializes in analyzing patterns, understanding threats, and developing analytical frameworks and metrics. Our team partners closely with Data Science, Operations, Product and Engineering teams to anticipate and investigate potential threats to our platform. Successful candidates for this team are adaptable problem solvers, equipped with strong analytical and operational skills to approach varied challenges in complex environments, and can effectively communicate with multiple stakeholders.Required Skills: Marketplace Investigations Analyst Responsibilities:Apply your expertise in quantitative reasoning and data analysis, and leverage your product sense to see beyond the numbers
Conduct deep dive analysis to understand root cause, and identify blind spots/anomalies to improve future detection
Willingness to get hands dirty to review samples to understand the MOs used by bad actors and translate findings into data-driven rules/strategies and product recommendations
Communicate findings and actionable recommendations to broad audiences and drive collaboration across cross-functional teams to follow-through on next steps
Effectively partner with the Product team, owning investigation requests, identifying the need behind the ask, and providing insights to help drive product strategy, prioritization, and implementation
Become a subject matter expert in workflows spanning a variety of integrity disciplines
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics, Economics, or equivalent practical experience
3+ years of post-college experience performing quantitative data analysis
Experience manipulating large data sets in SQL or equivalent, and drawing actionable insights from data
Fundamental understanding of statistical concepts (e.g., sampling, estimation)
Experience constructing interpersonal relationships across teams, communicating technical content and analytical insights to multiple audiences
2+ years experience working in an adversarial space (e.g., financial fraud, risk mitigation, spam, or product abuse) and conducting deep dive case reviews
Critical thinking and problem solving experience
Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications:Basic understanding of machine learning
Understanding of product strategy and experience interfacing with product teams, building analytics products, and leveraging product and operational data for analysis
Advanced technical or business degree(s)
Experience analyzing data with Python or R
Interest for protecting the most vulnerable users on Facebook with deep interest in understanding user behavior and utilizing data to mitigate safety risk
