Description We are seeking an individual for the role of an Accountant in St. Paul, Minnesota. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity. As an Accountant, your main function will be to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations in line with accounting principles. Responsibilities: Prepare financial reports, operating statements, accounts payable and receivable statements by reviewing, analyzing, and compiling financial information Assemble and prepare budget information through analysis of accounting records and estimation of revenues and expenses Review and approve claims, invoices, purchase orders, and other documents to ensure accuracy and conformance with established policies and availability of funds Maintain ledger, journals, and other financial control records by classifying and recording transactions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles Conduct financial analyses of service contracts or other financial programs by reviewing and evaluating financial records and reports Participate in contract development by conducting preliminary audits on new contractors and providing technical accounting assistance Prepare grant budgets and necessary budget adjustments to properly fund and control grant awards Respond to requests for information from auditors or other external funding sources concerning the financial activities of a program Operate computer equipment and analyze computer-generated information in performing accounting duties Provide training or direction to other accounting support staff.Please note that all candidates are required to provide 2 recent supervisor or manager references in order to be considered for employment.Please submit your resume and call Jordan Lynch at 651-293-3973 for review and consideration.Requirements Must possess expertise in Accounting Software Systems Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is necessary Proficiency in Great Plains (GPAC) is essential Should have experience with Accounting Functions Ability to handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) efficiently Auditing skills are a must Must have a good understanding of Budget Processes Must be able to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required Must have a keen attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines is essential.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
