Staff Accountant

Description We are inviting applications for the position of Staff Accountant in the education sector. This role is based in Saint Louis Park, Minnesota, and will follow a hybrid working model. As a Staff Accountant, you will be expected to wear various accounting hats, handling tasks such as accounts receivable, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end duties.Responsibilities: Process and maintain accounts payable and receivable efficiently Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy Prepare and post journal entries regularly Handle the month-end close process Utilize QuickBooks, for various accounting tasks Maintain the general ledger accurately Resolve any accounting discrepancies or irregularities Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements Participate in financial audits and implement audit recommendations Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts.Requirements Should possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). Demonstrated ability to perform Bank Reconciliations. Experience with General Ledger maintenance and management. Proficient in creating and managing Journal Entries. Must have experience with Month End Close procedures. Familiarity with NetSuite accounting software is desirable. Oracle software experience is a plus. Proficiency in QuickBooks is highly desirable. Knowledge of SAP accounting software is beneficial. Prior experience in the education industry is preferred. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team. Adherence to confidentiality and compliance standards. Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
