Description:
Seeking a 2nd shift CNC Lathe Machinist candidate to perform full set-ups in a job shop environment.
Candidates will be responsible troubleshooting machines, reading complex prints, and setting machines up to hold tolerances of +/- 0.0002.
The materials will be a variety of stainless and exotic materials such as stainless, aluminum, Inconel, titanium, brass, etc
Live tooling is a preferred experience.
They have 5 different lathes there with a couple that are dual spindle twin turrets. (Nakamura, Puma, and Doosan)
Will be performing on average of 1 setup per shift, but sometimes it will be more than that depending on if its a new job setup or repeat. As well if it is a complicated part and a long/shorter run. (Sometimes there will be a 4 hour setup for a 1 hour run time)
100 parts to 5,000 parts sometimes

3+ years of CNC lathe set-up experience
2+ years of machining in a medical or aerospace environment holding tolerances of +-.0002
Live-tooling or multi-axis experience preferred
Knowledge of Tooling applications for exotic metals a plus
Ability to read and understand CNC programs and operational layouts as required
Understand tooling requirements to set-up and operate machines in the department, including pre-setting of tools
