Information Services is the central IT department supporting all divisions of the Metropolitan Council. Our 140+ team members provide technology, practices and innovative solutions that enable the core services of the Council. How your work would contribute to our organization and the Twin Cities region: The Applications Developer 2will work on the (EAI) Enterprise Application Integration project f ocusing on new integrations, understanding and rebuilding existing integrations, gathering and converting technical requirements and have the responsibility for end-to-end integration delivery . The Application Developer 2 will also assist with design, development, documentation, testing, support and maintenance that support critical business processes for existing systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in Azure Cloud technology, .NET Core, Web API, SQL and or Oracle database experience. The candidate should also have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to take direction and think innovatively. Full Salary Range: $34.70 - $52.36 hourly/$72,176 - $108,909 annually Note: The starting salary will be based on the selected candidate's experience, skills, education, and internal salary equity, and includes a generous benefits package including eligibility for annual salary increases. What you would do in this job

Implement end-to-end integrations, including the assisting with design, development, documentation, testing, and maintenance of integrations that support critical business processes for existing applications.

Work with Microsoft Azure Tools to deploy code to our cloud environment.

Provide technical development support and work effectively with developers, service owners and function owners in IS.

Use Azure Boards to document user stories and tasks for new/existing integrations.

Work and maintain a continuous improvement mindset.

Participate in Agile practices such as daily scrum meetings.

Incorporate standard processes established by Enterprise Architecture Program (EAP) and DevSecOps for end-to-end API and integrations delivery lifecycle across all projects.

Collaborate with other application teams to effectively understand their application requirements and translate them into actionable technical requirements.

Assist with updating and modifying specifications, designing flow and function, and translating into logical system processes.

Document solutions using flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, clear code and any other technical documentation.

Troubleshoot and diagnose integration issues including performance problems using standard tools and utilities.

Assist with the development, implementation, and distribution of standards and best practices for integrations.

What education and experience are required for this job (minimum qualifications)Any of the following combinations of education (in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related) and experience in applications design and development:

High school diploma or GED and seven (7) years of experience.

Associate's degree and five (5) years of experience.

Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience.

Azure Platform as a Service (PaaS).

Microsoft Visual Studio C# and .Net Core for custom software development and maintenance of existing applications.
