The State of Minnesota is committed to equity and inclusion, and invests in employees by providing benefits, support resources, and training and development opportunities.Under limited supervision, performs technical work within a college laboratory and simulation center; monitors and assists students in carrying out laboratory assignments, learning to perform basic nursing skills and completing simulation scenarios; oversees daily activities of the laboratory and simulation areas; performs related work as required. The employee has limited input in the classroom instruction process and is primarily responsible for maintaining equipment and materials needed by students in a lab and/or simulation situation and assisting students in its use, rather than developing and presenting learning experiences.
Assist in restocking of lab/simulation supplies
Sets up and prepares for lab skills demonstrations.
Assists with lab clean up.
Monitors student progress as requested by instructors through observation of students as they carry out lab skills and simulation assignments.
Assist students by answering questions, by providing examples, and/or suggest alternative methods or techniques to problem solving.
Demonstrate the proper and safe use of equipment and materials to students in the lab/clinical setting.
Assist students with guided practice of nursing skills in the lab/clinical setting.
