Billing Clerk

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Billing & AR Specialist in the northwest suburbs. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the billing and accounts receivable functions, resolving customer inquiries, and maintaining accurate records. This is a hybrid model with only two days in office and flexible on hours. Salary up to $55K plus great benefits. Maintain detailed and accurate records of customer credit. Serve as the main point of contact for customers and pharmacy personnel, ensuring excellent customer service. Navigate various internal technology systems to gather information necessary for customer account management. Research and resolve account billing requests, including balances, charges, and payments. Proactively manage billing claims to responsible parties. Conduct research on aged account balances and take appropriate action to collect payment. Utilize skills in Accounting Functions, Accounts Receivable (AR), Answering Inbound Calls, and Microsoft Excel to perform duties efficiently and effectively.Requirements Must possess a minimum of one year of experience in a Billing Clerk role or similar Proficiency in accounting functions is required Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential Experience in answering inbound calls will be beneficial Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required Applicants must have a strong attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills are needed Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively Strong problem-solving skills are essential Must possess a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail Applicants should have a good understanding of the pharmaceutical industry Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational skills are necessary Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Applicants must have a strong work ethic and be self-motivated A background in pharmaceutical billing would be advantageous.
