Description We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in the Energy/Natural Resources industry, based in Plymouth, Minnesota. This is a hybrid opportunity. This role involves providing vital support to our Finance Department in areas such as invoicing, Accounts Receivable, and collections.Responsibilities: Processing customer invoices and adjustments in a timely and accurate manner Assembling and distributing customer invoices and statements Monitoring accounts receivable requests and resolving inquiries from both internal and external sources Coordinating and applying cash receipts appropriately to customer accounts Communicating effectively with customer service reps, sales reps, and regional managers regarding customer accounts Participating in the design and drafting of departmental procedures Maintaining orderly, accurate, and complete documentation in support of assigned work responsibilities Leading or participating in system enhancements, process improvements, and other department projects Utilizing company technology to accomplish position responsibilities and special assignments effectively and in a timely manner Demonstrating initiative, self-motivation, accountability, and dependability in your work. Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Experience with Great Plains (GPAC) is desirable Familiarity with IBM AS/400 will be advantageous Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites Knowledge of Accounting Functions and Accounts Receivable (AR) Ability to handle Billing Functions and Cash Activity Experience in Check Processing Proficiency in Microsoft NAV Industry experience in Energy/Natural Resources is preferred Prior role as an Accounts Receivable Specialist or similar is a plus Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and high level of accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions High level of integrity and trustworthiness Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
