As the Nurse Executive for the facility, accountable for policies and procedures of the clinical departments for the organization. ResponsibilitiesEssential key functions for the Vice President Patient Care Services include:

Responsible for both the dissemination of information and the development of interventions needed to improve value.

Leads change activities in accordance with CommonSpirit change models.

Will develop, align, and mobilize clinical leaders to successfully achieve clinical, operational, and strategic priorities for the organization.

Serves as organizational and community role model for ethical management behavior, and promotes an awareness and understanding of ethical and moral principles that are consistent with the mission, vision, and values.

Collaborates with other leaders to optimize quality, safety, and patient experience for the organization.

Manages budget with fiscal responsibility to ensure positive and consistent alignment of balancing patient needs, outcomes, and compliance and safety with productivity guidelines.

Ensures compliance with regulatory, licensure, and accreditation requirements while ensuring that staff are appropriately licensed/certified and taking corrective action for non-compliance as needed.

Establishes and maintains quality control/assurance systems as appropriate and maintains compliance with requirements of regulatory and accrediting agencies.

Collaborates with system leadership, local leadership, and providers, as required to build effective communications and relationships.

Maintains clinical exposure through actual intervention, coordination of patient care, role modeling, consulting, problem solving, and in-services.

Qualifications

Minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare and eight (5) years of leadership experience.

Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or other applicable field of study; master's degree preferred.

Nursing licensure by the state of MN Board of Nursing.

Critical Access Hospital Leadership experience preferred.
