Job Description
As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will oversee daily management of the people, processes and tools needed for warehousing products and initiate and facilitate area business and process improvements in support business targets.
Other responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Initiate and facilitate area business and process improvements in support business targets
- Analyze department workload and schedule requirements to develop execution plans, including manning and support personnel requirements and resource planning
- Communicate objectives, status and other issues as necessary, i.e. regular scheduled team meeting
- Support/implement performance management system including identification and achievement of goals
- Ethically protect company resources and best interest
- Establish safety procedures to assure a clean safe work environment is promoted and maintained
- Manage resources in support of safety, quality, delivery, engagement, and cost
- Develop, maintain, and improve positive employee relations
- Coach and develop an entry-level workforce that has a primary focus of assembly and packaging
- Maximize the utilization of warehouse resources while ensuring the expected level of customer satisfaction is met or exceeded.
Qualifications
Required Education and/or Experience should be one of the following:- 4-year Degree PLUS 2 years of leadership experience
- 2-year Degree PLUS 5 or more years of leadership experience
- 10+ years of leadership experience without a Degree
- Experience with warehouse and distribution processes
- Have experience with Continuous Improvement tools & methods (preferred)
- Must be proficient in Microsoft applications
- Experience with SAP preferred
- Must have understanding of project management
- Ability to give presentations (formal and informal to both direct labor and executives)
- Must be within a commutable distance to facility. Relocation support not offered.
- Able to work in manufacturing shop environment, and able to be on the warehouse floor for long periods of time
