This position is responsible for the set-up and operation of production equipment to cost effectively produce high-quality product on a timely basis which meets customer requirements. Duties include scheduling, training, implementing improvements and serving as liaison to the area supervisor at all times. Producing a product that meets internal and external customer demands.
Train associates on equipment as required.
Startup/shut down, loads/unloads, and operates finishing equipment.
Adjusts chemistry of process solutions to maintain process quality and consistency.
Operates and maintains all waste treatment/waste processing equipment.
Maintains a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing and finishing process flow and associated documentation.
Adheres to established environmental, health and safety practices.
Responsible for housekeeping in work area.
Assists in the determination of production schedule, supply needs, and manufacturing operations.
Monitor manufacturing methods, processes and procedures to assure meeting departmental goals.
Assist with routine administrative tasks and department back-up functions.
Continually monitors safety procedures to assure a clean, safe work environment.
Communicates effectively within the team and with support departments
Effectively leads a team of 10 or more co-workers in day-to-day work operations and maintain a positive work atmosphere.
Regularly provides feedback in their area of responsibility to appropriate management
