Environmental Manager in USA - AP

The Environmental Specialist is responsible for administering environmental programs and policies, as well as serving as the subject matter expert. Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 Develop & monitor the following dairy plant programsWastewater management, water supply management, waste reduction, and water conservationAir permits applications, NPDES permits, land application permits, storm water permits, hazardous waste generators licenseAssistance in completing environmental compliance forms (TRI Form R, SARA Tier 2)Establish contacts with regulatory personnel including MPCA, DNR EPA, and other agencies having jurisdiction.Project management and cost justification in capital expendituresCoordinate AST, UST upgrades and oversight of spill prevention plansGood working knowledge of the environmental regulations in the CWA, SDWA, CAA, EPCRA, CERCLA, SARA, RCRA, and TSCACorrespondence and negotiation with regulatory agencies.Oversight and tracking of contractorsCommunicate new and changing environmental regulationsDirect and administer the AMPI Environmental Management System, Environmental Policy, and Environmental Audit PolicyConduct, oversee, review, and communicate environmental audits of manufacturing facilities.Review and update environmental policies and programsDevelop and monitor program for reporting sustainability information:Track and record sustainability dataWork with Operations Specialist to review and report sustainability data as required.Provide feedback for improvement and achievement of sustainability goals.Provide environmental support and information for dairy processing in:Air handling systemsRefrigeration systemsPower utilizationBoiler efficienciesWater and cow water utilizationC.I.P. and chemical managementDryer and evaporator improvements and modificationsMembrane media systems An individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above.
