Perform complex data analytics to identify insights that can be incorporated into strategic recommendations for improving member care and to drive STARS performance improvements

Work in a cross-disciplinary environment to embed analytics into strategies that address business problems through data-driven solutions

Clearly communicate findings and recommendations to a range of stakeholders

Support data acquisition and integration necessary to execute analytics projects

Understand and explain drivers of apparent quality trends (observation bias, metric changes, operational changes, industry trends)

Initiate and foster unique and innovative solutions and ideas

Bring disparate data together with knowledge of health care and government policy to develop and communicate sound business recommendations to leaders throughout the organization

4+ years of professional experience in developing analytical solutions using techniques such as machine learning, propensity matching, hypothesis testing and descriptive statistics

3+ years of experience with Python, SAS, or R

2+ years of experience applying data analysis to solve business problems

2+ years of experience communicating analytic results to stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with STARS / HEDIS measures

Knowledge of case-cohort and case-control studies

Familiarity with Medicare concepts

Proven to be a critical thinker with ability to evaluate merits of new and innovative ideas and make sound decisions

Proven to be self-motivated with innate ability to absorb new concepts, technical frameworks, program paradigms while employing them creatively to solve complex analytical problems

Proven excellent communicator comfortable presenting program objectives, process, and performance in multiple settings

Proven relationship building skills with internal and practice teams to drive goal alignment

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
