The Data, Insights and Performance Marketing team is critical in bridging the gap between audience insights, performance, and optimization. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Paid Media Specialist to help lead day-to-day brand and product campaign media activations for our Corporate Performance Marketing team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enabling data-driven decision-making, overseeing in-market programs, and working with the Performance Analytics team to ensure strategies are fully optimized. Your expertise will be crucial in developing, executing, and optimizing media plans that enable us to grow our brand reputation and increase medical technology awareness across key audience groups. You will have an opportunity to influence your global peers and leaders to adopt new ways to connect audiences and outcomes.This role will be integral in helping us create and execute media strategies that are accountable for a defined outcome. Under the guidance of our Director, you will formulate strategies with an objective-first mindset – becoming true partners, along with our activation teams, in understanding the business, audience needs, and, their goals and objectives. They will also work closely with planning and activation strategy to determine audience-based objectives, which are then activated in channels across the paid, owned and earned landscape.A Day in the LifeResponsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Act as performance marketing lead on integrated team, connecting the dots between analytics, business strategy and media agency partners.

Advise and develop digital marketing strategies to meet specific business goals.

Bring forward tangible paid media solutions, assessing timing, budget requirements, audience insights, and media best practices.

Leverage industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in performance marketing to continuously improve campaign effectiveness and drive innovation.

Manage paid distribution of advertising campaigns across tactics such as paid search, paid social, digital display, programmatic, direct mail, television, radio, and out-of-home – all in a data-driven and efficient manner.

Use your platform skills to propose, create, advise on, and optimize campaigns.

Accountable for digital platform spend and the management of campaign pacing to ensure strong performance outcomes.

Oversee ad trafficking in partnership with activation teams.

Responsible for the performance of all channels, driving to goal and maximizing ROI.

Conduct media research on consumption, trends, and tactic efficacy to present to larger cross-functional teams at the onset of a campaign or when developing strategic recommendations.

Collaborate with Data & Analytics teams to provide guidance on actionable, representative paid media reporting to guide decision making and articulate success.

This role will be a hands-on-keyboard contributor, utilizing in-platform data to augment insights and campaign next steps.

Must demonstrate a keen ability to draw sound conclusions from delivery, in-platform insights, external research, and MarTech analytics/systems.

Develop A/B media tests in partnership with the Data and Insights team to encourage learning and campaign advancement.

Provide consultative support to help develop process and procedures to support the new Performance Marketing discipline

Develop process documents specific to the function that organize campaign management and standardize outputs at varying steps of the campaign lifecycle.

Incorporate research, best practices, and industry standards into working documents that can be used as training materials for various stakeholders.

Collaborate with cross functional teams, support the development of Medtronic digital marketing campaigns and efforts by bringing best practice and agency expertise to each step of the project.

Partner with creative teams to advise on the development of campaign content and advise on ad types, quantity, and creative specifications.

Regularly communicate with and direct agency partners through all facets of campaign management, ensuring that the campaign goal is met while developing the agency partnership.

Provide a consultative lens to business stakeholders to help enhance paid media program value.

Nurture the partnerships with existing and future media and research partners while fostering a culture of continual performance advancement.

Cultivate and move GCCM’s agenda of a “data-driven, insights-led” approach across all engagements from planning through execution, providing a mindset of testing and iteration in all initiatives that you design.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Bachelors degree required

5 years of experience working in digital marketing or an advertising agency with agency experience or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience

Nice to Have

4-year bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or strategic communications

Previous work experience in performance marketing or paid media with in-platform experience and ability to demonstrate proficiency

Experience building and articulating paid media best practices for the planning, buying, execution and reporting disciplines

Must demonstrate a track history of accuracy and decisiveness

Previous campaign experience supporting both branding initiatives and performance-based campaigns preferred

Experience managing media budgets over $5MM preferred

Prior work experience with healthcare or medical technology, but not required
