Our client is seeking a Data Architect to build out their data infrastructure and team. This will be an incredible growth opportunity for a Data professional to make their mark within a growing IT team in a highly profitable organization.

This is a permanent/direct hire position which will work 2 days per week in-office in Southwestern Minnesota.

Responsibilities
  • Define data architecture framework, standards, and principles, including modeling, metadata, security, reference data, and master data; research and identify solutions for data infrastructure
  • Develop cross-functional relationships, particularly with application and technical teams, identifying business requirements and translating them into technical specifications
  • Define data flows by developing an understanding of where data is generated, how data flows are managed
  • Establish technical specifications including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases, and data lakes
  • Provide level 3 employee support for data-related services and functions
Requirements
  • Bachelor's in related field (Data, Analytics, IT) or minimum 6 years commensurate work experience
  • 2+ years of professional experience in corporate IT environment
  • Technical expertise with cloud based systems (such as Power BI, Data Factory, Databricks, Snowflake, H20.ai, Excel, database management, etc.
  • Programming/scripting experience (SQL, HTML) ideal; knowledge of software development lifecycle.
Preferred
  • Data Architecture or ITIL certifications (DASCA, TOGAF, etc.)
  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence technologies, enterprise applications, or cloud technologies
  • Experience in Level 2 and/or Level 3 employee support
