Safety Coordinator

As our Safety Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in promoting and influencing safety performance among our team of drivers. From participating in new driver orientations to providing ongoing support and coaching, you will ensure that our drivers remain compliant with all safety regulations and policies.
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 1st shift
Salary: Starting at $62,000+ (negotiable based on experience)

The Job
Provide guidance and support to drivers to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
Become a subject matter expert on safety equipment and software.
Provide additional training and coaching for drivers.
Deliver defensive driving materials during new driver orientation.
Offer cargo securement and flatbed securement training.
Handle incoming calls related to safety and compliance issues.
Update and create procedures and policies to maintain compliance.
Conduct safety and compliance training during annual meetings and on an individual basis as needed.
Assist with various projects and duties as assigned by the Safety Director.
Knowledge and Skill to be Successful
A minimum of 1+ years of transportation safety experience, with 3+ years preferred.
Strong communication
Strong presentation skills.
Familiarity with DOT regulations and strong communication skills.
Ability to quickly learn new technology and programs.
