Grapple Truck Operator position includes driving equipment that requires Class A CDL license, operating the grapple to load wood into the truck, setting up safety cones, some hand saw or chainsaw operation, cleaning-up debris using leaf rake and leaf blower as needed to leave job sites clean. Job duties may also include running ropes, lifting, dragging, stacking, and handling of brush and tree limbs, running a woodchipper, and other tasks as needed. Working in different weather conditions year-round is required. Typical work schedule is Monday - Friday. Applicants must be 21 years of age or older.

Duties:
Operate commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, buses, and heavy haul equipment to designated locations.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
Load and unload tree debris and equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securing.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and cargo details in compliance with DOT regulations.
Navigate routes effectively while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols.
Communicate with the office regarding delivery schedules, road conditions, and any issues encountered during transit.
Assist in the training of new drivers on safe driving practices and vehicle operation.
Skills:
Class A CDL (REQUIRED
Proficient in operating commercial vehicles with manual transmission capabilities.
Experience with heavy equipment operation and freight handling.
Ability to drive various types of equipment, and heavy haul trucks.
Strong understanding of load unloading procedures to ensure safety.
Excellent navigation skills with a focus on time management and route optimization.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with the office and team members.
Attention to detail for maintaining accurate logs and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
