S.R. Weidema specializes in underground utilities, site grading, and street construction.

General Information:

Job type Full Time, seasonal

Union Contractor Laborers Local 563

Minimum years experience 2-3 years

Must be authorized to work in the United States

Description:

Laborers are responsible for safely and effectively supporting installation of pipe used in sewer and water infrastructure. There must be an awareness of surroundings, and must be familiar with reading plans, shooting grades, operating lasers, and laying out/staging jobs.

Qualifications:

Pipelayers 3 years sewer/water experience, 1 year pipe laying experience. Must be able to set up lasers.

Bottomman 2-3 years experience setting up lasers. Must be able to run packer, and follow directions. Apprentice applications are always condsidered

Topman 2-3 years experience staging and setting up daily activities, and shooting/understanding grade.

All laborers will be required to lift and/or move 50-100 pounds, and preform demanding physical labor under adverse field conditions.

All laborers must have excellent communication skills including a positive attitude

All laborers must have knowledge of the heavy highway construction industry

All employees are expected to be here daily and on time
