Position Description:
This position reports directly to the Service Manager. Your duties will include visiting project sites, conducting quality assessments, scheduling and/or completing repairs, and developing preventative maintenance procedures specific to the location.
Must be skilled in troubleshooting a variety of areas including plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems. Duties include inspecting buildings, maintaining inventory, and scheduling and/or completing repairs.
To excel in this position, you must be a problem-solver with exceptional communication and organizational skills.
Main Responsibilities:
Visit a variety of project locations to perform repairs or assess and coordinate repairs
Performing general maintenance tasks including tile repair, landscaping, painting, and carpentry.
Repairing faulty equipment units and damaged structures.
Developing and implementing preventative maintenance procedures.
Planning and scheduling repairs.
Conducting periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard.
Maintaining the inventory records for equipment and supplies.
Plan and review the project work with the Service Manager.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent qualification. At least 3 years of building construction experience preferred. Knowledge of building construction, means and methods, computer skills and a familiarity with Google Suite programs. Strong management, leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing. Must have effective problem-solving capabilities. Must have a valid drivers license.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Performing this job requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
PAY
Position pays between $30 and $34 per hour depending on experience.
