Mobile Car Battery / Parts Advisor - light duty only

We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Mobile Car Mechanic/Parts Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential light duty mobile mechanic services and roadside assistance services, including tire changes, fuel delivery, lock-out services, jump starts, and battery installations, as well as advising customers parts needed for their vehicle. This role does not involve towing vehicles or performing heavy mechanical work. You will get paid per call completed and commissions for parts sold. You will be an Independent Contractor and your vehicle will be your mobile office.

Key Responsibilities:

- Respond promptly to service calls and arrive at the customer's location in a timely manner.

- Change flat tires, install spare tires for customers and fix tires if possible.

- Deliver fuel to customers who have run out of gas.

- Assist customers who are locked out of their vehicles by unlocking car doors.

- Provide jump-start services for vehicles with dead batteries.

- Install new batteries for customers whose batteries have died.

- Advise customers the need of new parts for vehicle, as you will be making great commissions.

- Maintain a clean and organized service vehicle with all necessary tools and equipment.

- Ensure all services are performed in a safe and professional manner.

- Communicate effectively with customers, providing them with updates and estimated arrival times.

- Document all service calls and complete required paperwork accurately.

- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

- Strong customer service skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.

- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

- Basic mechanical knowledge and aptitude.

- Physical ability to perform the duties of the job, including lifting and handling tires and batteries.

- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends

- Must live in the area.

- Must have own Vehicle and Tools.

- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus but not required.

Training:

- Comprehensive training will be provided to all new hires before their start date.

- Training will cover all aspects of roadside assistance services, safety procedures, and customer service best practices.
