JOB TITLE: LIGHTING TECHNICIAN
JOB DESCRIPTION: Slamhammer seeks a highly motivated individual with specific concert technology industry experience to join our lighting department. In addition to the required experience noted below, the successful candidate will have outstanding interpersonal skills, be self-directed, and able to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Event prep and de-prep
Execute various onsite duties: load in, set up, DOS tech work, strike, load out.
Maintain lighting equipment in good safe working condition.
Operate within current health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment.
Maintain a positive attitude and proactive work environment in a fast paced warehouse or event setting.
Keep abreast of the advances in industry technology.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: The following skills and experience are required for this position:
5+ years of live lighting experience
Creative flair and attention to detail.
Ability to work quickly and creatively as part of a team.
Problem solving/troubleshooting ability.
Physical agility.
Patience and sensitivity to the needs of performers, clients and other crew.
Capacity to provide excellent customer service.
DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS: The most qualified candidates will have the following skills and experience:
Highly organized.
Ability to handle high stressful situations.
Has a positive and encouraging attitude.
Can apply industry experience to our situation for increased efficiency and success.
Ability to work 10+ hour days.
Ability to lift up to 75lbs.
