Full-Time Lead Painter – Cedars of Edina

Cedars of Edina is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Lead Painterto oversee and execute painting projects across our managed properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in painting, leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Key Responsibilities:

Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and lead painting projects, ensuring timely and quality completion.

Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces by washing, scraping, sanding, and applying primers or sealers to ensure proper paint adhesion.

Painting Application: Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers to various surfaces, including walls, ceilings, doors, and trim.

Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of painters, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to company standards and safety protocols.

Quality Control: Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and client expectations.

Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of materials used and manage inventory to ensure supplies are adequately stocked.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and company safety policies at all times.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional painting experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.

Skills: Proficiency in various painting techniques and surface preparations; ability to mix and match paints; familiarity with using and maintaining painting tools and equipment.

Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead a team, delegate tasks, and ensure project deadlines are met.

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact professionally with clients, team members, and management.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Licenses: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
