Grease Busters of the Twin Cities is in search of overnight kitchen exhaust and fire prevention cleaning staff.
In this position you will be responsible for cleaning kitchen hoods, exhaust systems, and fans which requires both indoor and outdoor work. Kitchen exhaust systems do extend to roof tops so being comfortable with heights and ladders is a must. This position is ideal for individuals capable of being independent and also working as a team. We provide necessary and extensive on the job training to ensure fire protection standards are met.
Skills Needed:
Work inside and outside (in varying weather)
Mostly working at night when restaurants and other locations are closed to the public
Typically working in a two person team
Interact with restaurant staff in a professional, polite, trustworthy way
Proficiently use basic tools like drills, tape measure, and pressure washer
Perform inspections and light maintenance of fans/exhaust ducts/hoods
Take before and after photos of work for insurance purposes and city records
Drive to different job sites (one member from each team will have a company vehicle fully stocked with supplies/tools)
Keep company vehicle and any other tools in working order or tell direct supervisor
Valid driver's license required
Fill out basic paperwork
Engage in basic communication with direct supervisor (about job sites, materials and supplies needed)
Cleaning kitchen exhaust systems including fans (roofs and filters as well)
Able to work safely with chemicals and on roof tops
Arriving to job sites on time and prepared to complete jobs
Requirements:
Dependability and consistency (arrive on time and complete quality work)
Strong communication skills with supervisors, team mates, and restaurant staff
Hard worker with good attendance
Valid driver's license and
Ability to pass a background check at MSP
Able to use basic power tools (drill/tape measure/pressure washer)
Safe on roof tops and safe with chemicals
Positive leadership skills (able to motivate team members, work together, communicate)
Typical work schedule 8:00pm- 4:00am (this does vary dependent on client)
