Location: Somerset & New Richmond, WI area

Employment Type: Full-Time, Year-Round

Start Date: Flexible, ideally before fall harvest

About Us:

We are a multi-generational family grain farm operating approximately 4,000 acres in Western Wisconsin. Rooted in integrity, stewardship, and collaboration, our farm is committed to producing high-quality corn while caring for our land, equipment, and people.

Position Overview:

We’re looking for a dedicated and hands-on farm team member to fill a key role in our daily operations. This position replaces a long-time team member and will work closely with our primary farm manager and ownership team (family-run). You’ll operate and maintain equipment, haul grain, support fertilizer application, and lead grain cart operations during harvest, among other essential tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot farm machinery and equipment year-round

- Maintain accurate equipment maintenance and application record keeping logs

- Repair and maintain center pivot irrigation systems

- Support spring planting by assisting family members with field prep and equipment operation

- Spread dry and liquid fertilizer across fields using our in-house application equipment

- Support primary farm manager with chemical spraying (as needed, with proper training/certification)

- Operate grain cart during harvest season with a focus on efficiency and care

- Support combine operation and other harvest activities

Qualifications:

- 3+ years of experience in large-scale row crop farming preferred

- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; CDL preferred (but not required)

- Strong mechanical aptitude; ability to perform basic to advanced repairs

- Experience operating & repairing large ag equipment (tractors, grain carts, fertilizer spreaders, combines)

- Commercial Pesticide Applicator License (or willingness to obtain)

- Ability to work long hours during peak seasons (planting, harvest)

- Self-motivated with strong communication and teamwork skills

Bonus Skills (Not Required):

- Welding and fabrication skills

- GPS/precision ag familiarity (Trimble /2020 systems experience a plus)

Compensation & Benefits:

- Hourly wage of $22–$30/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

- Overtime pay (1.5x) during peak seasons

- Typical annual earnings range: $60,000–$95,000, based on real hours and experience from prior team members.
