IEH Laboratories, a Leader in Food Safety, is now accepting applications for a Microbiologist position at its facility in St. Paul, MN.

Ideal candidates will possess the following:

A BS or BA in the biological sciences or related field (required)

Proficiency with data entry and computer applications

Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgement to complete a wide variety of tasks

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong attention to detail

Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory

Microbiologist duties include: receiving and logging samples into LIMS; preparing samples for analysis; analysis of samples using conventional, molecular, or instrumental methods; recording results and making necessary calculations; evaluating and interpreting data; entering results into LIMS; troubleshooting problems; providing excellent customer service to clients; various microbe enumerations; quality control; decontamination and disposing of samples, including cleaning and sanitizing the laboratory; trash removal; and other duties as assigned.

This is a full-time position and will be eligible for standard benefits after a brief waiting period.

This position operates on rotational day shifts, from 8:00am to 8:00pm. The laboratory operates on weekends so candidates must be willing to work some weekends.
