We are seeking a head chef to join our team! You will thrive in a fast-paced environment that focuses on feeding the unhoused in the Minneapolis and St. Paul area. Schedule is 5 days per week typical hours are 5am-2pm. Must be available to work at least one weekend day.
Responsibilities:
Prep, create, and package meals for delivery
Check freshness and quality of ingredients
Assist in the development of menu items
Standardize recipes and plate presentations
Work with management to create menus
Qualifications:
Previous experience in culinary arts, cooking, or other related fields preferred but not mandatory
Passion for food and cooking techniques
Strong leadership qualities
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Involve MN is a Minnesota based non-profit. Involve MN is a collaboration of community, business, and government partners providing for the unsheltered and vulnerable people of the Minneapolis and St. Paul area.
We show up because we are a community and people matter. And we keep showing up because relationships are the key to changing lives. Our kitchen produces over 8,000 meals per weekly that go out to encampments and area shelters.
Pay will be commiserate with experience.
