Accounts Receivable & Payable/Billing Specialist
Children’s Dental is seeking a billing and finance specialist who is able to do a range of A/R, or A/P and billing tasks to support the accounting team which may include:
Enter Checks.
Prepare Deposits.
Write and track checks
Utilize QuickBooks
Follow up on customer billing questions.
Work closely with the billing specialist to reconcile accounts in Open Dental according to CDS policy.
Process and record credit card bills.
Organize and pay bills.
Organize and process payroll.
Oversee printing statements.
Maintain payment plans.
Receive donations, prepare thank-you letters, maintain accurate records.
Support the grant team as needed.
Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
Coordinate with Accounts Payable to ensure that finances are in order and record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies.
Maintain HIPAA and PCI compliance.
Prepare for Annual Agency Audit
General office support including but not limited to organization, cleaning, and remaining flexible in a changing and fast paced environment.
Qualifications Sought:
1+ years of Accounts Receivable or Billing experience
High school diploma required college degree preferred
Must have strong work ethic
Must be well organized and a self-starter
Must be able to follow standard filing procedures
Detail oriented and reliable
Proficient in Microsoft and Office Suite
Ability to type 50 wpm
Possess strong organizational and time management skills
Strong problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills
Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to interact with employees and patient families in a professional manner
Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
Experience with QuickBooks
Leadership skills a plus
