Mazak Fiber Laser Operator

Purpose and Description:
This person is responsible for the daily setup and operation of a Mazak Fiber Optic laser cutting machine. This person is also responsible for material handling related to laser work orders.
Key Responsibilities:
Experience running Mazak or similar CNC lasers required
Inspection of parts using a variety of measuring tools
Follow quality procedures
Interpreting work orders to determine machine programming requirements
Sets up machine parameters, gas and power settings
Other Responsibilities:
Ability to perform machine setup, including start up and shut down procedures, changing parts and fixtures, adjusting focus and beam alignment, and adjusting cutting parameters as needed
Accurately perform inspections and document as required
Maintain commitment to safety and professional code of conduct
Desired Experience and Education
Vocational/technical school training
AutoCAD Drawing and/or other related drawing software
The ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and blueprints
Experience with tape measures, calipers, and other measuring instruments
Reading text and documents, numeracy, writing and oral communications
Problem solving, critical thinking, planning, prioritizing and organizing
Ability to operate hand tools
Moderate lifting, pushing, pulling, standing and walking
Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen prior to employment
Yearly Wage Package starting at $60,000+ Depending on Experience + Skills
