JOB DESCRIPTION

Crown Exteriors Inc., a progressive and fast-growing company in the storm restoration industry, is

seeking a full-time residential Roofing Laborer. We are a team committed to excellence and

A Roofing Laborer plays a crucial role in assisting with the installation, repair, and maintenance of

roofs on various types of buildings. They work as part of a team under the supervision of skilled

roofing technicians and supervisors to ensure that roofing projects are completed safely, efficiently,

and according to specifications.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist with Roof Installation and Repair:

● Prepare work areas and equipment.

● Carry materials and tools to the rooftop.

● Assist with the installation of roofing materials such as shingles, tiles, or metal

panels.

● Repair or replace damaged roofing components as directed.

Material Handling and Preparation:

● Load and unload roofing materials from trucks.

● Organize and maintain an inventory of roofing supplies.

● Cut and shape roofing materials to fit specific dimensions.

Ensure Safety Compliance:

● Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times.

● Use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, gloves, and safety

harnesses.

● Follow proper procedures for ladder safety and fall protection.

Perform Site Cleanup and Maintenance:

● Clean up debris and leftover materials from the worksite.

● Remove old roofing materials during tear-off projects.

● Assist with the disposal of waste materials in accordance with regulations.

Assist Roofing Technicians:

● Provide support to skilled roofing technicians by following instructions and learning

from experienced workers.

● Hand tools and materials to roofing technicians as needed.

● Assist with the installation of flashing, vents, and other roofing components.

Conduct General Maintenance and Repairs:

● Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning gutters and inspecting roofs for

damage.

● Repair minor roof leaks and damaged shingles under supervision.

● Learn basic repair techniques and procedures over time.

Communicate Effectively and Work in a Team:

● Communicate effectively with other team members and supervisors.

● Follow instructions carefully and ask questions when necessary.

● Collaborate with colleagues to complete tasks efficiently and safely.

Qualifications:

● High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).

● Prior experience in roofing or construction (preferred).

● Must be able to provide proof of legal eligibility to work in the United States (Required).

● Must successfully complete and pass a background check.

● Ability to lift heavy objects and work at heights for extended periods.

● Stamina and endurance to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

● Agility and balance to navigate rooftops safely.

● Willingness to learn and develop skills related to roofing installation and repair.

● Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
