I own Finishing Touch Painting of Hastings MN and I am looking to hire a full time apprentice to help me with painting, drywall, and carpentry projects in the south east metro area.
No experience required, but some general knowledge of interior and exterior painting and tools used would be ideal.
Join me as a Painter's Apprentice, where you will have the opportunity to learn and grow in the painting and drywall industry. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who is eager to gain hands-on experience and develop skills in various aspects of painting and drywall work.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of job sites, ensuring materials and equipment are ready for use.
- Mask and cover surfaces to protect them from paint splatters and spills.
- Sand and clean surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of paints and primers.
- Apply paints and primers using brushes and rollers
- Assist with taping and finishing drywall to ensure a smooth and professional finish.
- Move heavy objects and materials as required, following safety protocols.
- Work safely off ladders and scaffolding, adhering to safety guidelines.
- Participate in the clean-up of job sites and tools, ensuring all equipment is stored properly.
- Perform other tasks related to painting and drywall work as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced painters.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality workmanship.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor.
- Comfortable working at heights on ladders and scaffolding.
- Basic knowledge of safety standards and procedures in painting and construction.
