We are looking for a full time Install Assistant/Laborer for our growing business based out of St. Michael.
We are a specialty contractor that works in the residential deck & porch market installing a product called helical piers. The helical piers are driven into the ground by either a mini-excavator or mini-skid steer. These piers are then built upon by various contractors once the install is complete. We meet at our St Michael shop every morning and go site-to-site installing piers in a company truck. Our service area includes the entire metro and surrounding area. Some perks of this position include; all drive time paid, a paid lunch break, boot allowance, and work clothing provided. Bonuses are also distributed annually based on performance.
Job Summary:
You will be assisting the equipment operator in the installation of helical piers. In a typical day we meet at the shop in the morning to get the trucks loaded with materials. Once we're ready to go, the tablet in the work truck shows the route for the day and number of stops. We travel to various new developments for this work. You will be helping haul materials down to the job site and assist the operator by reading a tape measure and a level during install and laying out tools. Once completed, you move on to the next job until the schedule is complete. At the end of the day you will help the operator in maintenance and sometimes wash equipment.
