Job Summary:
Would you like to use your construction skills but only work 8 hour days, Monday through Friday? We repair/replace all aspects of building exteriors including decks, doors/windows, roofing and siding – just to name a few. You will be responsible for displaying a positive, team orientated attitude with a mature disposition. Whether working alone or in a team, you must love working outdoors in different types of weather and enjoy physical labor. We provide all types of construction services for management companies in public areas so it is imperative that you project a professional appearance, are polite and friendly, while maintaining a safe working environment. This is a year-round position which will include outdoor winter work including roof snow and ice removal.

Job Responsibilities:
Demonstrate construction skills that include rot repairs, leak discovery/repair and general exterior building maintenance techniques.
Ability to plan ahead and problem solve.
Willingness to pass along your skills to other team members.
Understand the requirements of each individual project. Perform within job time and material budgets.
The ability to identify & correct deficiencies while never settling for “good enough”.
Demonstrate skills in safe operation of all types of tools.
Ensuring a safe work environment by adhering to all safety standards & requirements.
Assessing project scopes and making recommendations to management and/or sales team.
Driving company vehicle to each job site with necessary tools and materials for each job.
Maintain a clean & safe job site at all times.
Qualification Requirements:
Previous construction trades experience. Experience in framing or carpentry is an asset.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record in order to operate a company vehicle.
Proficient operating skills of all tools & equipment used in construction.
Physical stamina to maintain a productive 8-hour workday that will include walking, standing and crouching for long periods of time to perform strenuous physical tasks. Ability to lift weight up to 100lbs.
Knowledge of workplace health & safety practices and responsibilities associated with it.
Self-driven and team player.
Effective communicator with the ability to provide clear verbal and written information.
Possess good organizational and time management skills.
Reliable and consistently punctual with an eye for detail.
Proactive, hands-on, roll up your sleeves and do what it takes to get the job done attitude.
Contributor to a positive and results oriented team environment with the desire to learn and grow.
Provide personal toolbelt and basic essential hand tools. Hammer, tape measure etc.
Wage is dependent on experience and work ethic.
Full time, year-round employment.
We work a 40-hour week, Monday through Friday. There will be occasional weekends & overtime during our busier periods of the year.
Dental & IRA benefits available after 90 days.
