Second Shift - Packaging Shift Lead, $21/hour - Production Bakery

Position Description

Authentic Gourmet BakeShop is a small, high-volume bakery located at 2850 Anthony Lane South in Saint Anthony, MN 55418, on the border of Minneapolis and Roseville. We produce a variety of breads, buns, rolls, cakes, bars, and pies. We are growing and our volumes are going to increase significantly at the beginning of April. In anticipation of that growth we are seeking a P.M. Packaging Shift Lead. It’s a new position, which means it will require some agency on your part to craft the role. The work is straightforward and broken into manageable parts, but it does require attention to detail. It’s important that you be accountable and that you are comfortable holding others accountable, which means your resume must include some professional leadership experience. You would start by working Monday through Friday 12P.M to 8P.M., and would need to be willing and able to potentially eventually work the 4P.M. till midnight shift.

Our leadership speak English and some Spanish. Our staff is predominantly Spanish-speaking. You don’t need to speak Spanish, but having some proficiency would be helpful. The job is physical. You would be on your feet and moving the whole time. There is a fair amount of lifting, but most things are not very heavy, though they can be up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Lead the packaging team during the afternoon/evening shift

Ensure efficient packaging of various bakery products (breads, buns, rolls, cakes, bars, and pies)

Maintain quality control and attention to detail

Hold team members accountable for their work

Adapt to increasing production volumes starting in April

Requirements

Professional leadership experience

Ability to work 12 PM to 8 PM shift, with potential for 4 PM to midnight shift

Physical stamina for standing, moving, and lifting up to 50 pounds

Accountability and ability to manage others

English proficiency required, Spanish proficiency helpful

Work Environment
