Sanjusan Restaurant is looking for a sous chef. We are an upscale casual restaurant with a focus on Japanese/Italian cuisine looking for a passionate sous chef to round out our team. Previous experience with pizza and pasta is preferred but not required. We offer competitive pay and insurance benefits, along with reasonable hours (not exceeding 50) and flexible paid time off. Previous kitchen management experience is strongly preferred but not required, we will train the right candidate.
Responsibilities include:
- Running expo during service, and occasionally a station
- Assisting other stations as necessary
- Assisting with ordering and prep
- Menu development
- Training new hires
- Maintaining cleanliness of restaurant
- Participation in PnL discussions and managing labor
The right candidate would also possess a desire to learn, an ability to adapt to changing situations, and the ability to provide answers and solutions to problems as they arise with the cooks and while running service. Reply to this posting with a resume attached.
