Martha's Eats & Treats is hiring for service positions working at our bakery counter and farmers market stand! We're looking for reliable, hardworking, available, consistent, and fun people to fill various positions including:
Bakery Counter Customer Service:
Saturdays at the Bakery from 8am-3:30pm.
This position serves pastries and lunch to customers at the bakery. Prior experience in restaurants or cafes is a plus, but we will happily train the right candidate. Must be friendly, helpful, and outgoing, with good multitasking skills and the ability to work well under pressure when we are busy. We may also have an opening for this position on Fridays.
Farmers Market Customer Service:
Saturdays at the Riverwalk Market Fair from 8:45am-1:00pm, May 18 – October 26.
This position has the same requirements as the Bakery Counter position above, but also requires being comfortable working outside, good math skills with addition (mostly in your head without a calculator), and the physical ability to lift tables, tents, and equipment during setup. We are seeking full season commitments but there is flexibility in scheduling.

Responsibilities and Duties:
-Pursue high standards, quality work, and consistency in everything you do.
-Provide friendly service serving our customers delicious pastries!
-Basket and package products for sale at the bakery and farmers market.
-Maintain clean equipment and workspace throughout all your duties.
-Complete side tasks when appropriate: dishes, deep cleaning, restocking, inventory, etc.
-Execute various tasks as assigned.
Experience and Requirements:
-Previous experience in food service, coffee shop, or counter service type environment preferred, but we will train the right candidate.
-Work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced setting and have good time management.
-Be self-directed and proactive in completing tasks without oversight.
-Responsible with sanitation, hand washing, and good self hygiene (very important).
-Ability to move efficiently with others in a small cafe.
-Physically able to handle a variety of movements, frequent lifting, and standing for long periods.

-The bakery is closed for winter holiday for the month of January every year for everyone to have a good break.
-Employees must be authorized to work in the U.S. with appropriate documentation and are required to sign a non-disclosure agreement at the start of employment.
