User Experience Designer III

Description We are seeking a User Experience Designer for a short-term contract based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As part of the Experience Design team, you will be instrumental in crafting compelling user-centered experiences across our digital platforms. This role requires the collaboration of various teams, including engineers, product managers, strategists, and other design professionals, to create and improve the shopping experience for our customers.Responsibilities: Work with a team of designers, researchers, strategists, product managers, and engineers to create engaging, human-centered experiences across our digital properties Translate business goals and product requirements into cohesive and consistent user experiences Utilize service design, design thinking, and human-centered design methodologies to meet the evolving needs of our customers and the brand Collaborate with stakeholders, both through written and verbal communication, to build relationships within assigned product/project teams Apply modern visual design best practices to contribute to and challenge the brand Leverage research, site metrics, and usability findings to inform design recommendations and strategies Foster a shared vision of the future problem space with the team Partner with research analytics, consumer insights, and A/B testing teams to determine the methodology and approach for testing of design strategies Continually improve customer experiences related to assigned product/project teams Utilize skills in customer service, communication, analytics, research, review, and design to fulfill responsibilities. Requirements Proficiency in User Experience (UX) design Excellent customer service skills Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to analyze and interpret complex data Experience in conducting user research and deriving insights Ability to review, critique, and improve design work Knowledge of workstation support and maintenance Proven leadership skills and ability to guide a team Experience in website design and development Understanding of brand awareness and its impact on design Familiarity with digital design tools and software Basic understanding of engineering concepts related to UX design Ability to generate metric reports to assess the effectiveness of designs Experience in dealing with different stakeholders Ability to collaborate effectively with other team members Knowledge of best practices in UX design Ability to conceptualize and implement design concepts Familiarity with different design methodologies Ability to deliver high-quality work in line with project timelines Understanding of fundamental design principles Experience in designing e-commerce applications Proficiency in UX discovery and research processes Ability to create and test prototypes.
