POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES: Effective recruitment, hiring and training of Technical Service Reps. Deliver value added, sustainable technical service offerings to customers i.e. product demos, troubleshooting problems Increase market share and sales through service offerings Grow the talent within the technical service representative team to establish a success growth and succession plan. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Manage Region Technical Service Representatives Ongoing field service responsibilities to assigned accounts. Those accounts and specific financial goals will be mutually agreed upon with the Regional Sales Director and set forth in a FMIP goal plan. Recruit and train field Tech Service Reps. Manage and assign daily, weekly and monthly field tasks for each Tech Rep. Work with the Sales Managers to schedule service calls and demonstrations Continuous education for product knowledge and current application techniques Review and approve itinerary and travel expense reports for direct reports Interface with Sales Representatives to ensure continuity of service to all region accounts Work with customer to develop "in house" processes, relying less on servicing facilities for blends Develop and administer annual and semi-annual performance appraisals. Responsible for all disciplinary action for direct reports Develop and administer all Tech Rep. bonus plans for direct reports POSITION LOCATION WITHIN THE ORGANIZATION This position typically reports to the Director of Technical Services. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES/CAPABILITIES/WORK ENVIRONMENT: Employee is required to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 100 lbs. on occasion. May assist with handling drums of material excess of 100 lbs. Employee will spend approximately 20% of the day sitting, 30% standing, 40% walking and 10% stooping, climbing and kneeling. Employee must be able to drive a car or van. Employee must be able to operate a hand truck and/or material handling equipment. Employee must be able to operate a computer and communicate via the telephone. BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Minimum high school education or equivalent. Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field. Ability to work all scheduled hours as needed. Employee must have a valid driver's license.
