OVERVIEW:
Sportradar is the global leader in leveraging the power of sports data to enhance media solutions, power sportsbook operations, and to protect sports integrity.Sportradar are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to lead and enhance the US accounting operations within our organization. This role demands an in-depth knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS principles, strong expertise in Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and a proactive approach to driving accuracy, efficiency, and strategic insight across financial processes. The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in supporting financial close, analysis, audit coordination, and continuous process improvement initiatives, while collaborating cross-functionally. The role will be based in Minneapolis or New York, with some US and international travel required
THE CHALLENGE:Lead the timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes, including preparation and review of complex journal entries and balance sheet reconciliationsDrive comprehensive P&L analysis to support business decision-making and implement effective cost control measuresProvide technical guidance on accounting transactions and ensure compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and internal policiesPerform ongoing financial control functions in accordance with the Sportradar internal control policies and Sarbanes-OxleySupport of the annual audit process including walkthroughs and evidence gathering for external auditors and the group accounting departmentMentor and provide guidance to junior accountants to develop their technical skills and professional growthCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams including finance, operations, and external stakeholders to support organizational goals and compliance requirements
YOUR PROFILE:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification strongly preferredMinimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a public company environment or a multinational organizationDemonstrated expertise with Microsoft Dynamics or comparable ERP systems and advanced Excel skillsProven track record of driving financial accuracy, process improvements, and strong internal controlsExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex accounting concepts to diverse audiencesHighly adaptable and resourceful, able to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and respond effectively to changing priorities Pay Range: $90K - $105KSportradar intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, qualifications, and location.
