OverviewFairview's LTC and hospice pharmacy is seeking a motivated pharmacy technician who is a team player with a passion for patient care to join the Fairview LTC team. This position is responsible for processing and filling orders for Skilled, Assisted Living and hospice patients of the pharmacy, work with staff to manage workload timely to meet facility and patient expectations, assist the pharmacy manager with meeting daily operation needs and completing ancillary duties as assigned.Our long-term care pharmacy provides packaged medications to assisted living and long-term care facilities. Our packaging options allow medications to be delivered more efficiently, eliminating errors and reducing waste, while ensuring safety and positive medication outcomes. Because we are local and offer flexibility and a high level of customer service, our client list continues to grow at a rapid pace.This is a full-time benefit eligible position!Responsibilities Job Description

Providing superior customer service to skilled nursing and assisted living facilities as well as the hospice programs the pharmacy supports

Assist in preparing and dispensing medications and supplies in both vials and unit dose packaging

Labeling products

Data entry

Packing up orders for delivery

Assisting with cycle fill process

Receiving inventory/verifying stock-to-invoices and maintaining the pharmacy in proper order

QualificationsRequired:

Current or pending registration by the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy, and if first registered on/after 1/1/2013, completion of a MNBOP approved employer based or vocational/technical training program.

Preferred:

Pharmacy technician experience and knowledgeable of data entry and insurance adjudications.

Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and Third party plans

Previous LTC experience preferred

Desired Skills:

Proficient in the English language

Good attention to detail

Ability to problem solve effectively and manage time effectively

Ability to follow policies and procedures

Basic pharmacy math and typing skills
