Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role is primarily focused on the processing of bi-weekly payroll for a sizable team, as well as handling certified payroll complexities. The ideal candidate will be proficient in ADP and other accounting software systems, with a strong understanding of data entry and manual checking procedures.Responsibilities: Process bi-weekly payroll for a sizable team, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Handle complexities associated with certified payroll, including distinguishing between different pay rates. Utilize ADP and other accounting software systems for payroll processing and data entry tasks. Perform manual checking procedures to ensure accurate payroll processing. Resolve any payroll discrepancies and respond to payroll inquiries in a timely manner. Collaborate with other team members to improve payroll procedures and maintain compliance with regulations. Conduct regular audits of payroll procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed. Participate in budget processes and provide recommendations for improvements. Ensure all accounting functions adhere to company policies and procedures.Requirements Proficient in the use of Accounting Software Systems Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions Knowledge of Great Plains (GPAC) Ability to perform Accounting Functions Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience in Auditing Familiarity with Budget Processes Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation.
