Mechanical Assembler Pay $18-21/hr in Minneapolis, MN, USJob Description
Contractor will assemble Pumps for Gas (NOT liquid) from start to finish at their own work benches, working off Blueprints and utilizing hand/power tools.
Tasks include completing sub-assemblies and adding components until the pump is fully built. Contractors will also assemble crates for product shipping.
Builds may take 2-3 days to complete. Finished products range in size from a desktop computer to the size of a workbench. Larger pumps require the use of an overhead crane for lifting, while smaller components are hand-lifted or team-lifted.
These pumps are installed into generators for Hospitals, other commercial buildings, or Diesel engines.
Shift : Flexible hours between 6am - 5pm but must commit to a set 8-hour schedule.Hard Skills
Must have 6+ months of experience in mechanical assembly
Should have experience in using power tools and hand tools
Good have experience in reading blueprints
able to lift up to 50lbs
Work EnvironmentNot an assembly line. Everything is custom-built with different duties daily. Clean warehouse with a small group of 6 total Assemblers in the Production Area. Contractors will have their own work bench and provided tools.
