JOB SUMMARY As a member of the Business Development and Marketing Department, the Business Development Coordinator will assist the Business Development team in organizing and coordinating activities supporting the firm's practice and working groups, as well as firmwide initiatives. This role will assist with the preparation and coordination of proposals and pitches, marketing collateral, narrative overviews, client presentations, tracking and database management and other administrative support. This position can be located in the following cities in which Kutak Rock has an office: Atlanta, GA; Denver, CO; Kansas City, MO; Minneapolis, MN; or Omaha, NE. RESPONSIBILITIES Practice and Working Group Support - Draft, develop and evolve practice overviews, custom pitch and proposal content and representative experience descriptions - Create and update designed marketing materials, including brochures, one-pagers, presentations and event collateral - Coordinate the collection of representative experience and input data in the firm's business development databases - Update and maintain online presence, including highlighting significant matters, key developments and accolades (rankings, directories and awards) - Support and manage practice and working group participation in industry-related events, including webinars, seminars, conferences and sponsorships - Assist with meeting agendas and attend practice and working group meetings, as requested - Assist with submissions to, and maintain listings in, major directory and award programs, including Chambers USA, The Redbook, Refinitiv, Best Law Firms and Benchmark Litigation Pitches, Proposals, and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) - Draft, format and coordinate pitches, proposals and RFP responses - Coordinate with business development managers, attorneys and other departments as needed to collect required information - Pull lists of representative experience from relevant databases as needed - Coordinate the completion, packaging and delivery of proposals, qualifications presentations and other business development materials - Maintain a consistent and high-quality look, feel and voice of proposals and RFPs Content and Data Management - Document, save and maintain proposal-related content for future reference - Add finished proposals to historical database - Provide regular reporting/deal information to other departments and organizations as needed - Update and maintain pitch and proposal tracker with current data - Track and report outcomes of business development activities Other Projects as Requested - Assist in developing PowerPoint slide decks - Designed biographies and biography packets - Prooing and editing QUALIFICATIONS: Skills & Abilities - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - High degree of attention to detail, accuracy and consistency - Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven environment - Highly motivated and self-directed with the ability to anticipate needs and exercise critical thinking - Ability to work independently as well as manage projects and assignments in a collaborative team environment - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with a wide range of individuals - Strong computer skills and, specifically, experience and proficiency with various Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) - Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite preferred QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience - Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field preferred - 2+ years of experience in marketing or business development at a law firm or other professional services organization preferred Position Information Salary Range: $50,000 - $65,000 per year.
