Job Description SummaryThe Lead Application & Product Architect - Solution Architect is a senior technical position within our product development organization and is responsible for driving the technical strategy for a portfolio of applications and platform services used by many of our largest banking customers. In this role you will use your technical breadth, depth, and strong interpersonal skills to analyze and assess requests from Product Management, Sales, and other internal stakeholders to create a holistic technical approach that meets both near-term goals and long-term strategic needs. A successful candidate for this position will be comfortable in presenting to technical and non-technical audiences, as well as, rolling up their sleeves and being a hands-on technical leader.
Responsibilities:- Define, coordinate, and communicate a shared technical and architectural vision, strategic direction, and framework.
- Provide technical direction and mentoring to a team of Application Architects, as they translate your solution architecture into easily consumed application-specific reference architecture artifacts.
- Work with Application Architects and agile software development teams to formulate, develop, and maintain development standards & best practices.
- Execute strategic projects (DevOps, platform components & services, etc.) to improve overall development throughput and efficiency.
- Conduct research & development projects in support of our strategic software roadmap (identify, describe, execute and communicate results)
- Create prototypes, starter projects, code samples, etc. in support of the strategic software roadmap & architectural runway.
- Be a technology evangelist for software quality and craftsmanship.
- Minimum of five (3) years of experience as an Application Architect or Technical Lead with similar responsibilities, building modern, enterprise-scale applications using C#, Java and modern JavaScript frameworks (Angular/React/Vue).
- Minimum of seven (5) years as a Full-Stack Software Developer, preferably developing commercial software for the financial, mortgage or insurance industries.
- Prior experience mentoring/leading junior Software Developers.
- Experience developing, deploying and operating SaaS applications in Cloud (Azure preferred).
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in CompSci (or related discipline) required OR equivalent experience.
- Solid experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).
- Thorough knowledge of various SDLC methodologies including Iterative and AGILE methodologies.
- Experience with Automation Testing (C#/Selenium), Containers, Kubernetes and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) is desired.
