WCC is growing! We are seeking an Electrical Designer to add to our team. Our ideal candidate will be experienced in AutoCAD electrical design of electrical control panels, consisting of medium voltage (240-480V 3Phase) designs.
Responsibilities:
Draw electrical schematics and layouts using AutoCAD Electrical
Produce control panel Bill of Materials
Draft schematics from scratch, engineer sketch, or modification of existing design (updating component requirements).
Develop ACADE component library
Select electrical components per UL508A (NEC)
Develop control panel standards/processes
Process and Instrumentation Diagram / One-Line Diagram Creation
Facilitate control panel design from external control panel suppliers
Manual creation for skidded systems
Test control panel
Assist with panel construction and installation of control panel as it is installed on our water treatment skid (in our facility) to hit customer deadlines.
Qualifications:
Education – AAS degree, BSEE, or equivalent experience.
Control panel design experience REQUIRED.
2+ years Component selection and electrical sizing
2+ years’ experience with AutoCAD Electrical (preferred).
Ability to work independently in ACAD Electrical
Understanding of electrical circuits.
Past panel construction experience a plus.
Strong verbal, and written communication skills
Strong computer & math skills
Windows 10/11, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Etc.
Knowledge of UL508A (Manufacturers Technical Representative a plus)
Registered Master Electrician (a plus)
Comfortable working around electricity.
