Position Purpose: The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts is seeking an enthusiastic and customer service-oriented Ticket Services Supervisor supports the Ticket Services Manager and Director of Ticket Services in overseeing operational aspects of Ticket Services including supervising events, cash handling and end of day reconciliation. This position will assist with overseeing the call center and counter operations; including supervising part-time staff, training new hires,, manage email communications, and process sales transactions on the phone and in person. This position will work a combination of days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: $21 - $24 per hour

Department: Ticket Services

Reports to: Director of Ticket Services

Key Performance Areas:

Become proficient in using the AudienceView ticket system to process subscription and single ticket sales over the phone and in person.

Work with external partners of rental events to process and resolve all ticket-related requests pertaining to their events.

Fulfill VIP and internal ticket requests.

Manage email communications with other departments, rental partners, and the public.

Perform nightly settlements with outside performance companies.

Attend to any escalated customer service matters that arise.

Supervise part-time Ticket Services staff involved in selling tickets; provide staff with relevant information, including event information and special promotions; provide advice and technical assistance; evaluate; resolve disputes and problems; provide cash to event staff and reconcile cash and sales after each performance

Maintain and model superior customer service standards for the Ticket Services Department.

Provide back-up to the Ticket Services Manager and Director of Ticket Services in the building and management of ticketing systems within Audience View including series, pricing charts, subscription, venues, promotional offers, and updates to result in updated systems, timely training, optimum productivity, cutting edge technology, efficient sales flow, and seamless customer service transactions.

This key position will provide supervision primarily for part-time Ticket Services staff at weekend, evening and holiday performances.

Other Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required, bachelor’s degree preferred.

At least two years of supervisory experience required.

At least three years of ticketing experience is required.

Box Office experience required; or the combination of education, experience, and training that would allow for the successful performance of job duties.

Candidates must have a high aptitude for technology and excel in managing “on the spot” customer matters.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.
