Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate, diligent, and well-organized Financial Analyst to lead our financial reporting, bookkeeping, and logistics processes. This role will be pivotal in laying the foundation for our finance and accounting function, offering significant growth potential as the company expands. The ideal candidate has a basic understanding of finance/accounting, strong analytical skills, and a passion for building a brand in the sports industry.
This is a part-time, unpaid position to start, with opportunities for growth and the potential to transition into a full-time role as the company expands
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting / Bookkeeping:
Organize financial transactions using QuickBooks or similar software.
Maintain financial records and accounting books.
Manage banking relationships and maintain financial documentation.
2. Financial Reporting:
Prepare periodic financial statements.
Assist with tax preparations.
Support the development of financial presentations for board meetings and fundraising efforts.
3. Relationship Management / Logistics:
Identify and establish relationships with third-party logistics firms.
Maintain ongoing partnerships with logistics companies to support operations.
Qualifications
Hold or currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field; MBA candidates welcome.
Some experience with bookkeeping or financial analysis.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
