Accounting / office support - Full-time (New Hope, MN)

We are a family own Business, that is looking for someone to come on board and take ownership in the Company. We are a Full Service Maintenance Company that is currently hiring for a full-time, Accounting Clerk/ Bookkeeper. This position is responsible for accounts receivable, Client billing, inventory data entry, bank deposits and bank accounts. Also is responsible for the office's administrative duties such as answering the phone, ordering supplies, sorting mail, word processing and other clerical duties as necessary. We have two companies that are in need of support with Accounting duties, Spread sheets, Data tracking and Reports.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounting/Auditing: (75%)

- Responsible for account receivable processing on a daily basis.

- Performs all tasks related to account billings and balancing.

Responsible for month end inventory data entry.

- Processes daily accounts receivable data from all departments, process billing.

Prepares bank deposits and enters into accounting system. Responsible for Auto Pay maintenance.

- Tracks delinquent accounts and sends out correspondence.

- Collections, Makes the proper corrections to invoices for clients.

- Keeping clients happy.

Administrative: (25%)

- Provides cross-departmental administrative support to include: typing, word processing, faxing, calling, emailing, filing, photocopying.

- Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of callers, and forwards as necessary. Answers questions about organization and provides callers with correct information about the company. Works with Clients to resolve invoicing conflicts.

- Receives, sorts, and routes mail.

- Prepares reports on a weekly basis and as necessary.

- Performs other clerical duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 3-5 years experience in accounts receivables and/or general accounting required; preferably in the Service trades and/or in a small office setting.

- QuickBooks is a MUST

- Knowledge of the General Ledger and familiar with basic accounting/bookkeeping practices.

- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel; knowledge of Access or working with a database

- Exceptional customer service skills and welcoming demeanor

- Flexibility to perform a wide variety of administrative responsibilities

CPA helpful, but not needed.
