AP Accounting Manager

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:As our AP Accounting Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind our Accounts Payable operations—leading a seasoned and capable team while championing process improvements to support a fast-growing, multi-state organization.You’ll oversee the day-to-day functions of a high-volume AP department (processing over 10,000 invoices monthly), mentor a dedicated team (including 6 AP Specialists, a Lease Administrator, and an AP Supervisor), and play a critical role in the successful implementation of our new ERP system.Lead and mentor the accounts payable team, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing.Oversee ledger entries, account reconciliations, and A/P data systems.Partner with the Controller to improve workflows and implement process enhancements across 15 states.Maintain strong vendor relationships and handle audit/government inquiries.Assist with financial forecasts, compliance reporting, financial statement preparation, and in-depth financial analysis.Oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance, 1099 processing, lease payments, and audit support.Oversee lease administration (Yardi) and supervise the Lease Administrator to drive operational improvements.Lead and contribute to cross-functional initiatives and special projects.
