Join the talented, engaged, and inclusive workforce dedicated to creating a better Minnesota and making a difference in the lives of Minnesotans.As a Special Agent of the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) you will manage and conduct the State's most complex and sensitive felony investigations and to provide investigative and training assistance to local and federal law enforcement agencies and other criminal justice organizations, thereby enhancing the safety and well-being of Minnesotans through the efficient apprehension, prosecution and conviction of dangerous criminals.This posting will be used to fill multiple vacancies in the following units/locations:

Human Trafficking, located in St. Paul

Criminal Information/Operations assigned to the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force, located in St. Paul

Predatory Crimes, located in St. Paul

Cannabis related investigations, located in St. Paul

Technical Services, located in St. Paul

Violent Crime Reduction, located in St. Paul

Financial Crime assigned to Catalytic Converter Audits/Investigations, located in St. Paul

Homicide, located in St. Paul / St. Cloud

Narcotics, located in Rochester / Marshall

Minimum Qualifications1.) An Associate’s Degree from an accredited institution with four (4) years full-time experience as a licensed peace officer conducting felony level criminal investigations with a law enforcement agency-OR-A four-year degree from an accredited institution, plus one (1) or more years of full-time experience as a licensed peace officer conducting felony level criminal investigations with a law enforcement agency-OR-A four-year degree from an accredited institution, plus four (4) or more years as a licensed police officer, plus one (1) or more specialized skillset listed below:Specialized Skillset:

Fluency in a foreign language

Degree or certification in accounting or other closely related field.

Degree or certification in a technology related specialty or computer science.

Demonstrated advanced computer skill, including, but not limited to a degree in computer forensics, or one of the following certifications: EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE), AccessData Certified Examiner (ACE), Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE), Global Information Assurance Certification Forensic Examiner (GCFE)

Juris Doctorate Degree

AND2.) Applicants must be currently licensed as a Peace Officer in the State of Minnesota or be eligible to be licensed as a Peace Officer.3.) Must be able to pass an extensive background investigation, physical and psychological examination prior to hire.4.) Must reside within 35 miles of the assigned post.5.) Ability to work cooperatively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.Preferred Qualifications1.) A four-year degree from an accredited institution.2.) Specialized Skillset:
